ABSTRACT

Tarsal inconsistent bones are of radiological importance in the differentiation of trauma and anomalies in the ankle region. An underst and ing of the anatomy of tarsal inconsistent bones, including their distribution and frequency can be helpful in the radiological evaluation of patients with these anomalies. The proper use of oblique or lateral, tangential and contralateral views provides the radiologist with the necessary information to make correct diagnosis. Examples of the aforementioned help to reinforce the content of the text
